CLIENT: GVC NGO

In partnership with GVC NGO and funded by ECHO, we conducted a waste management consultancy in North Beqa, Lebanon, analyzing waste production/composition in informal settlements. They designed a pilot improved biomass cookstove with an integrated organic waste dryer to reduce biomass consumption by 50%, improve health by lowering emissions, and treat organic waste safely. The stove uses local materials and promotes community self-construction.
