Final evaluation of an EU-funded project in Marcabeli district for a waste sorting-at-source collection system, including the construction of a sanitary landfill and a sorting and composting facility. The project serves the municipalities of Marcabeli and Balsas.
The facility treats 400 tons/year of municipal solid waste (MSW), achieving a 90% source sorting rate and supporting sustainable waste management in the region.
